Dental hygiene

The foundation of a lasting smile

Dental hygiene treatment is delivered by a specially trained dental hygienist or dentist.

They will help to remove any hard and soft plaque and all the stains from your teeth that may have built up over time.

During your hygiene appointment, your teeth and gums will be assessed to determine the amount of plaque removal and to identify any risk factors. Your teeth will then be professionally cleaned using special equipment and pastes, a process also known as scaling and polishing.

The hygienist or dentist will demonstrate how to care for your teeth so that they remain plaque-free in the future. You will be advised on the most effective toothbrushing technique and provided with tips on flossing and using interdental brushes.

Dental hygienists also function preventively to treat gum disease and bad breath. If you have a bridge, denture, orthodontic treatment, or a dental implant, you will have specific hygiene needs that the hygienist will be able to assist you with.

I had braces put in to correct the gaps in my teeth, which were highly successful. I also received minor treatment on two of my teeth for composite bonding to make my teeth more symmetrical. Overall, I am very happy with the outcome. The service was amazing, and I will continue to come here for any further treatment.

I am a nervous patient and haven’t been for years, but I can safely say that I no longer fear the dentist, as he is the best I have ever been to. He is very reassuring, does excellent work, and is also fun and interesting to chat with. I look forward to going back in 6 months for my next checkup.

I see many dentist but ACTON DENTAL CARE its high level. Im never see explanation about my tooth how Dr. Dr. Klaudiusz Krolikowski done for me. On my first visit he show me and explain me every single my tooth with all detail (what i have to do in fucture and now). Dr Klaudiusz its very profesional calm and patient person. High recommended this clinic. Also thank you for women on reception she was very kind and very helpful. Staff very very friendly. Maybe that its crazy but first time i feel very welcome on dentist clinic. Thank you again.

Dr Krolikowski and the team at Acton Dental Care are exceptional! I first met Dr Krolikowski when he treated my wife's incredibly infected & painful tooth on an urgent basis, providing immediate relief and compassionate care. Now my daughter is starting her Invisalign treatment at Acton Dental Care and the experience so far has been wonderful and thorough. I would only trust my daughter's teeth journey at the Acton Dental's care clinic with the outstanding Dr. Krolikowski. Acton Dental Care has been my clinic of choice for the past six years, since it first opened; despite moving to the other side of London, I still make my way back here as Dr. Krolikowski and the staff are simply amazing.I have been to other clinics in the past, both in UK and in my home country, but there is really no comparison in the quality of treatment, friendliness and professionality I found here.Highly, highly recommended!
